Hoka Speedgoat 4 (RTR Review) If you want light and for sure runnable with best in Hoka technical terrain capabilities go Speedgoat (regular of mid height) but you won’t get to the level of soft cush and easy comfort of the Anacapa. Hoka One One Speedgoat 3 (RTR Review) Jeff V : Similar overall feel, though I prefer the slightly wider and more durable secure upper of the SG4. Canice : I know the differences Hoka states but the Speedgoat 4 feels the same to me as the Speedgoat 3, and this is a good thing.

Every review says it, and I can confirm, the Mafate Speed 4 reminds me of my Mach 5s. The Speedgoat 5’s are basically the Speedgoat EVOs - which was a great shoe. If you like Hokas - both are great trail shoes. In retrospect, I would’ve switched how I used the shoes - the Speedgoats at the Rut and the Mafates for R3. For me, the Speedgoat
