Frankly, my JD dealer is too far away, (I don't go up north in my county often)so I'm beginning to look to order over the net. Being plastic it will be tight and channel locks will not do it. After the cover is off you will wiggle the filter out by pulling and wiggling it by hand. I paid $88 for the filter from the John Deere place , the picture instruction that came in the box made it look like it is a left handed thread but mine was not. uh0Q.
