However, I found the temperature gauge shows the very low engine temperature. The needle should remain within the centre section according to the owner's guide. Now I began to worry about this problem.
The coolant temperature sensor on your vehicle monitors the temperature of your cooling system and feeds the temperature gauge or temperature warning light on your dash. This helps prevent damage to your engine due to overheating, which may be caused by low cooling system levels, radiator or thermostat failure, and other factors.

3. Delete DPF data. Follow on screen instructions carefully. Ignition on engine off. 4. Start engine (DO NOT touch the acc. pedal) and start regen. The engine will then rev up to around 2,800 rpm and stay there. Needed for 2.0 engine. I have recently bought a Mondeo MK4 2.0 Ltr TDCI (08 reg). This is the first diesel engined car I've ever had and I'm not sure if the engine is reaching the right temperature. After a 40 - 50 mile run, mainly on dual carriageways, the guage needle has moved to about a third of the way across the guage.
